USING TRASH OFF THE STREETS TO MAKE ART ON THE STREETS.
I use only trash and found items to collage these handmade, signed & numbered stickers. They are made to compliment my larger works which in which I use trashy paperback book covers, record & magazine covers, posters, postcards and other mass-produced media as a base for my hand-cut & paste collages, which I usually leave out on the streets for anyone to enjoy (or destroy.)

Relationship XXXIX “Enjoy il Silenzio”

This collage was completed and left in La Louviére, Belgium on 7/12/2012 on the front of a vacant bank building at #7 Rue de Bouvy. (see below) I used the 45 record cover “Il Silenzio” by Nino Rosso. This was likely one of the fastest record cover collages I’ve done so far. It was started and finished within about 3 hours while sitting at Les Brasseries Mansart nearby.

This was my first large collage, almost as tall as me, and also my first piece made specifically for an art exhibition and not as street art. It was shown for “Parcours – 40″, le parcours d’artistes à Mons during the last two weekends in May of 2011. I was working with the group Recycling Collective at the former Royal College of Fine Art in Mons, Belgium. The school had been abandoned for many years but I still found some of the students’ art lying around in the vacant rooms. This large painting of a face was crumpled up in a trash heap so I used it as my canvas to collage on.
