Urban Price Tag no. 500
left 4/9/16 on a stop sign on Broadway at 25th Street across from Silverstate Lofts in Denver.

Back in April of 2016 I had the opportunity to make a quick trip to Denver, Colorado for the first time. We stayed on East Colfax Ave, near N.Downing St.  I sat several times at (what was then) the Sanora Cafe to work on my collages with trash found on the streets of Denver.

I also began my first Urban Price Tags here. Made and left four of them in Denver. I need to revisit this fun project soon. These little red price tags are “numbered” in a random fashion depending on what numbers I discover in my found objects. They could be a dollar or euro amount, a percentage, or just any kind of number.

Urban Price Tag no. 10 was left on a stairway handrail post in the Denver Art Museum on on 4/10/16.

I made two stickers and one “relationship” piece while in Denver: stickers # 77 & #78, and Relationship CXIX. But I also left some stickers I’d previously made, and brought with me.

Sticker # 68 (above) was made back in Tampa Bay on a CD label on 12/14/15. I stuck it on a cool “Route 40” green bike rack in front of the Sanora Cafe on East Colfax at Marion St. on  4/11/16. (below)

It was left on a lightpost outside the old 14th St. staff entrance to the Denver Art Museum on Sunday, 4/10/16. (below)

RJFC sticker # 77 (above) was made with trash from the streets of Denver on a 2013 USPS Priority Mail Label 228, while sitting at the Sanora Cafe on East Colfax at Marion St. on 4/9/16.
I left it the same day in a Labeauratoire Sticker Bomb (below) on a trash dumpster in the graffiti alley between Larimer Street & Walnut Street, between 29th & 28th St. along with work by Mimi le Clown, dwkrsna, C0rpse, Neverfart, Sara Conti, GATS, Artissin, JPO, Obey, Kryptc, CistOnes, SoreInfest, Jacuzzi & more…

And finally, my larger collage, Relationship CXIX – (THE BLOODY BARBER HIT MY fantastic PONYTAIL COACH) was also made on 4/11/16 while sitting at the Sanora Cafe.

It was made on a vintage album cover using trash found on the streets of Denver (above).

Relationship CXIX was left on 4/11/16 on an electrical box at the corner of East Colfax Avenue and North Lafayette Street, near Ice Cream Riot.

So altogether I left nine collage street art pieces on this trip to Denver. I also discovered some fantastic artists while there. Hope to visit again sometime..
